After trailing around and hunting down various elements of the API from facebook I noticed that a number of applications had started sending me notifications eg. AppName misses you please come back. This appeared to pop up every other day or so.
I thought this was a particularly clever way of persistantly marketing your app to your users and found a piece of code that appears to implement this on any application.

I was reccomended I review an app on facebook which was this http://apps.facebook.com/guru-sabelotodo/ it has over 746,000 monthly users. Now that is some magic traffic.
I dont know how long the app has been alive but I could not resist but to make a clone.
The application does not user SQL and only utilises php5 which is great for minimum server requirements.
Here is my version – i added an invite box to it as per my tutorial. http://apps.facebook.com/fortunepredictor/
